J. C. Wyno's Antique & Collectible Show - Review by Michigan Antique Speak

The opening of deer season did not stop the "Antique Hunters" from the fall J.C. Wyno's Antique & Collectible show held at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn, Michigan.  An eclectic offering from a multitude of vendors provided a show that had "something for everyone."  A few exquisite antiques from the 1700's were for sale as well as quality glass, jewelry and silver.  Many vintage and antique Christmas and holiday items were present ('tis the season!), along with movie memorabilia, and even militaria.  Most of the items for sale were price to sell ($20 - $200 range) with a few rare items possessing tags of over $3,000.  Admission was $4.00.  Be sure to mark your calendar for the next show, that is to be held January 11 & 12, 2003.

All Depression Era Glass Show & Sale
Review by Michigan Antique Speak

The weekend of November 2nd and 3rd provided a wonderful Depression Glass Show presented by the Michigan Depression Glass Society at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.  Their 30th, yes that’s 30th, "All Depression Era Glass Show & Sale" provided a marvelous venue with over 28 dealer booths from 11 states.
Beautiful Depression Glass displays were provided for those to view and purchase (great deals on great pieces).
In addition, noted Depression Glass Expert and Author Gene Florence was on hand to discuss any "real tough" Depression Glass questions you may have had (he also brought a number of his books for sale).   Expert glass repair was also available - a really great feature. Chipped glassware need never be thrown out, it can be fixed and for a very reasonable price at these shows. Admission was $5.00, which included a ticket in the "hourly" drawing.  Also, for $1.00 per ticket, a raffle was held for a beautiful Depression Glass table setting.  If you did not go to "The Show", view the following photos to see what you missed!

One of three rooms set up to take you back to a time in the past.
The club did a great job, the rooms were wonderful in detail.

A second room set up completely with antiques from the past. This was an MAS favorite, we love kitchen glassware from the depression era.  It was not to be missed!
